Solar photovoltaic energy

Site Evaluation: Our initial step in researching potential sites is to calculate hours of sunlight, solar radiation levels and available square footage. We also evaluate the topography for factors including orientation (south-facing land is best), slope, soil quality, and shadows. Profitable solar installations tend to have close proximity to transmission lines (preferably with voltages under 69 kV) and centers of consumption. We also consider environmental concerns and the ability to maintain a clean and secure site.

Preliminary and Environmental Studies: We analyze and compare the viability and profitability of the various technologies available on the market. As detailed on our environmental services page, we have the expertise to perform all necessary environmental studies and have environmental engineers on staff to address all community and regulatory requirements. As part of our assessment, we estimate the expected energy production of your site, and provide an initial design and plan for installation, including estimated financial returns.

Engineering Design and ROI Analysis: We select the best technology design for the specific site and perform a feasibility analysis including a budget for the initial construction, fees and ongoing costs. Our income analysis includes revenues from electricity production, tax credits, development incentives and grants.
