Environmental Studies

We currently offer the following Environmental Studies:

• Visual Impact: Know which areas will have visibility of your turbines. We will provide a base map with shaded regions displaying the number of turbines visible from any point.

• Shadow Flicker Impact: Shaded maps identifying areas that will be affected by rotor-cast shadows during early and late hours of the day.

• Noise Impact: This study identifies the locations that will be affected by various levels of sound produced during turbine operation. These maps will help you avoid noise-sensitive areas and satisfy setback requirements.
  
  We also provide complete pre- and post-construction noise monitoring

• Visual Photo-Simulation: Get a preview of your wind farm before construction begins. We will take photographs from nearby towns, buildings, roadways and scenic areas, and digitally impose your model of turbine in the appropriate location, time of day, weather conditions, etc.

• Vector Constraints Mapping: Including Federal and State Managed/Conservation Lands, Wetlands, Watersheds, Ecozones, Bat Species Ranges, Sensitive Bird Areas, Transmission Lines, Local Zoning, Airports, Roads, Hospitals, Schools, Residences, Businesses, Places of Worship, FAA Long-Range Radar Zones,  Archeological/Historical Sites, Tribal Lands, Topo Layer and USGS Quad Layer.  Based on existing data, verified by first-hand site inspection where feasible.

• Habitat or Land Cover Studies: Overview of sensitive and important habitat or land cover features at a potential project site. This study will be customized to suit your specific siting or permitting needs.

  In addition, we can conduct long-term bird and raptor studies.
